Planning Update – August/September 2022

COMMENTS MADE BY FORUM

The Forum objected to:

Twisted Stone Golf Club, Pyrford Road  –  Section 73 for variation of condition 15 of planning permission ref: 95/1044 (allowed at appeal), dated 23.06.1997 (Construction of 18 hole pay and play golf course, alterations and extension to the existing farmhouse to form clubhouse and provision of associated car parking accessed from Pyrford Road and the creation of an additional footpath at Lees Farm, Pyrford Road, West Byfleet) to amend the wording which restricts existing use of the clubhouse building to purposes ancillary to and only used in association with golf course use (retaining existing restriction on clubhouse building opening hours) (amended description.

45 Lincoln Drive – retrospective sky lantern & hatch protruding 0.7m/0.4m above the existing roof height which is out of character compared to the rest of the estate.

1 Lovelace Drive – concern about over-development of site

Lee Place Hazel Road – Garden is being split, but Lee Place is a heritage asset, and the Forum has concerns about the appearance of new dwelling and size of the two plots.

APPLICATION DECISIONS OF NOTE

Beech Rise Lock Lane Pyrford – Refused – Formation of vehicular access onto Lock Lane  As it was in the Green Belt, Pyrford Forum objected.  The application was refused due to lack of traffic splays being presented. As there was no existing planning permission for the constructed pillars and gate, these structures have been referred to the Woking Borough Council Enforcement Team for consideration. PNF Objected

 Qaro Pyrford Heath Pyrford – Permitted – Erection of detached garage and hardstanding, following demolition of existing detached garage. PNF did not comment (The Forum did object to previous applications on this site but made no comment on this application.)

21 Pine Tree Hill – Refused – Double storey rear extension, garage conversion, single storey side extensions and double storey front extension/dormer extension. Replacement decking at rear and alterations to fenestration. PNF did not comment

 Fairfield Woodlands Road West Byfleet – Permitted – Demolition of existing dwelling and erection of four detached dwellings and associated access and landscaping. PNF did not comment

 Chestnut Lodge Forest Road – Permission to be granted – Subdivision of existing dwelling into two detached dwellings following demolition of parts of existing dwelling and external alterations. PNF did not comment

…….and close to Forum boundary:-

 Nutfield Hollybank Road West Byfleet  – Refused – Sub-division of existing rear garden and the erection of a new dwelling, associated landscaping and formation of new access. PNF did not comment

 NEW APPLICATIONS OF NOTE

8 Townsend Cottage Coldharbour Road – Erection of a front Porch PNF not made a comment (Previous application for front door with canopy approved 1 July 2021)

PLANNING APPLICATIONS AWAITING A DECISION AFTER 3 MONTHS

The following key applications are still under consideration:-

Non-Green Belt:-

154 Old Woking Road (Validated 07/05/2022) – Erection of a two-storey side extension and front porch following demolition of existing porch. Erection of a single storey rear extension and 1No rear rooflight. PNF objected

 In Green Belt:-

 Pyrford Place Pyrford Road (Validated 02/08/2021) – Erection of a replacement boathouse following demolition of existing structure. PNF has not made a comment though 10 local residents have objected

 Wisley Golf Club Wisley Lane (Validated 16 April 2020) – Engineering operations to The Garden Course to include replacement drainage and irrigation system, relocation of 5th and 8th tee boxes and re-profiling of section of the bank at the River Wey along with works to the bunkers to improve drainage and playability. PNF has not made a comment

 Pyrford Golf Club Warren Lane (Validated March/April 2021) – Proposed floating composite structure and bridge on existing lake to provide pontoon style seating. PNF has not made a comment

 Pyrford Place Farm Estate Pyrford Road (Validated 23 March 2021) – Proposed resurfacing of yard area and erection of replacement washing bay structure following demolition of the existing. PNF objected

 APPEALS UNDECIDED

Clubhouse Traditions Golf Club Pyrford Road (ENF 14 June 2021) – Appeal against Enforcement Notice PNF objected to planning application

Land On the South Side of Lock Lane (29 April 2021) – Erection a single storey dwelling and formation of a vehicular access onto Lock Lane following demolition of existing stables and field shelter  PNF objected
