HCA FUND RAISING 2019

OVERVIEW

TARGET – £13,000

GOOD NEWS – THE TARGET IS MET – MAY 2021

The 2018 AGM endorsed our plans to conduct a Heritage Conservation Assessment and agreed that we mount a significant fund raising campaign to fund the professional support required.  This is estimated at £13,000.

The fundraising we launched for consultancy to support the Heritage Conservation Assessment project and totalling £ 13,224, has now been raised!!  Our deepest and most sincere thanks go out to all those of you who have helped us raise this money, it has been a magnificent effort on everyone’s part and is enabling us to prepare a professional assessment and set of recommendations in due course.

We have now largely completed the desktop study to record “what is” and we have started considering what we would like to see for the future. These ideas  together with appropriate recommendations will be detailed in the coming months and appear in a final report to be submitted to Woking Borough Council.

We will likely provide a detailed briefing of progress, to date, in a dedicated newsletter shortly and will follow up with regular news of deliverables through the regular Newsletter.

The whole committee would like to thank you for your generous support to date.

Summary of Main Fund Raising Events in Support of HCA

A video of Our Pyrford Heritage

The video was produced and was launched to great aclaim at the AGM at the end of November 2019.  Members have since produced a trailer to show on the web site and have offered copies for sale.  We are all very pleased with the standard to which it has been produced by Tim Matthews and Cliff Bolton and advise that no household should be without one!!!!  So folks, please contact Cliff by email at cliff.bolton@gmail.com to order your copy and arrange for delivery.

BIG Night Out – 7:30pm 27 April at the Church of the Good Shepherd – £20/ticket

Raised over £1,800!!

–  Many, many thanks for your generosity at the BIG Night Out – it was a great effort and has boosted our funds significantly.  Building on the success of our last Big Night Out with live music from the Pina Coladas, food, an auction and a raffle  a great time was had by everyone.

BRILLIANT!! & THANKS EVERYONE
