GARDEN WASTE
Woking Borough Council has announced that Garden Waste Collection recommenced on Monday 2nd August. They have said that “Your garden waste subscription will be extended to compensate for missed collections, but please do renew it as normal to ensure there is no break in service.
Amey do not have the capacity to collect additional garden waste that does not fit into your garden waste bin. Extra garden waste can be taken to your local Community Recycling Centre for free. Details about the centres are on the Surrey County Council website.”
OTHER COLLECTIONS
But due to a shortage of drivers, Joint Waste Solutions have said that there might be difficulties in collecting Food Waste and Black & Blue bins. Their latest advice is:-
“While we are using our limited resources as effectively as we can to minimise disruption, we continue to experience staffing issues and cannot always fully staff all of our rounds. We are working hard to ensure all collections are made, but in some cases if we’ve missed your bin, we may not be able to return until the next collection, and at times not all food waste will be recycled.”
