Planting
Did you know that Surrey County Council offer a number of free schemes to plant trees & hedges in/around Pyrford? These schemes typically close at the end of July for planting in the following season (November – March).
Private homeowners
If you have a large area of verge outside your property that is suitable to plant a tree, SCC will plant a tree for you, normally free of charge. All you need to do is to water it for a minimum 3 year period while they establish themselves! You can read further information on this from SCC here.
Community/Charity Group/Schools/Scouts&Guides etc
As well as planting trees, SCC will also plant hedges, usually for free, as part of an agreed scheme to “re-green” an area. Once again, all you need to do is look after them once planted for at least 3 years whilst they establish themselves! For more information email trees@surrycc.gov.uk
