The Pyrford Neighbourhood Plan was adopted in 2017. We are starting the process of updating the Plan to make sure it is relevant and effective in meeting the challenges of today’s planning environment.
We review all the planning applications in the Pyrford area to ensure that they meet the policies in the Pyrford Neighbourhood Plan. More widely, we have a voice in discussions about major housing developments in neighbouring areas, where these have an impact on our residents. We are concerned about the lack of infrastructure to support major developments, particularly transport and healthcare.
New homes attract a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) from developers. 25% of this is allocated to the Pyrford Neighbourhood Forum to be spent on local initiatives.
