SCC has informed users that, “the library will close in its current location on Friday 20th August and is proposed to reopen in a temporary location on Monday 20th September. The library is proposed to remain at this temporary site for up to 5 years whilst the redevelopment of the current site takes place.
All items on loan will be extended during this closure period, with no late fees incurred. Your membership allows you to use any Surrey library to borrow and return items and the nearest alternative libraries are Byfleet, New Haw and Woking. Please check our website for individual opening hours as these may vary: Library Opening Hours
Conversations around the final position of the library within the new development are ongoing, but we are confident the library will be a core part of the final development.
As part of our co-design process, we will be having conversations with residents during the coming weeks and months to hear your thoughts on what you’d like to see in the temporary library and as part of our future library provision.
If you have any queries, please contact libraries@surreycc.gov.uk “
