20/10/13 Letter to households on the boundary

20th October 2013 by pnf 2 Comments

Neighbourhood Plans are coming

We need your help please!

Dear Householder,

For those of you who are members of the Residents’ Association, you will have read about the opportunities for local communities to produce their own local plans.   Each of the three villages of Byfleet, West Byfleet and Pyrford are proposing to form their own individual forums.   The one big problem we have met is: where exactly should West Byfleet end and Pyrford begin?

We need your help in deciding on a boundary line between the two villages and have sent this letter to all households in your area.

There will be two public meetings.   One is to be held on Friday 25thOctober at 8.00 p.m.  at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Pyrford.   The other is on Monday 18th November  at 7.30 p.m. at St John’s Church West Byfleet.

Your input is needed in advance of these meetings.   Please could you inform us before 25th October – by which village plan do you feel your street should be covered ?

Pyrford                              West Byfleet                    No strong feelings.

Please e-mail your choice before 25th October, with your name and address to :-

cdrp@the-residents.org

The result of the majority of each street will enable us to make an informed decision on the appropriate boundary line.

Thank you for your help and interest.

Martin Doyle                                                           Penny Hoskyn

Chief District Representative, Pyrford                    Chief District Representative West Byfleet

Deciding the boundaries is of little consequence because when the government machine starts dictating where they are going to saturate an area with ugly homes and buildings (they will be ugly) you will need ALL your supporters

You are correct – there is a need to build in the UK and Woking Borough has its obligations, but at least by creating a local plan we can influence this so that we retain the character of Pyrford. As you say, to achieve this we need all the support we can get. So please come along on Friday and join us.
